Music in the Parks

Fairfax Symphony PERCUSSION DUO!

The FSO is delighted to partner with our beautiful Fairfax County Parks to provide free Music in the Parks children’s concerts. The performances are engaging, interactive experiences… perfect for young, first-time concert-goers!

Join the FSO Percussion Duo in Dance to the Beat and the musical clown, Cowbella! Young listeners will explore the basics of percussion in this engaging demonstration and performance featuring a variety of instruments including a snare drum, cymbals, xylophone, cowbell, and castanets. Children will discover the science of the instruments’ unique sounds…dancing and singing along to new and familiar tunes, including Baby Shark, Boomerang, Wheels on the Bus, and more!

Performances are free and 45 minutes in length. No tickets are required.

Music is the Parks Summer Entertainment Series is presented by the Park Authority in partnership with the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors and through the efforts of the Fairfax County Park Foundation.  All performances are free to the public.
