The FSO opens its 60th Anniversary Season with the world premiere of a new work by George Mason University faculty composer Mark Camphouse, honoring the 275th Anniversary of Fairfax County.

Voted by Musical America as one of the most influential musicians today, renowned cellist Amit Peled returns to celebrate the FSO’s Anniversary Season.  He has been described as having “the flair of a young Rostropovich” (American Record Guide) and “simply a gorgeous sound” (Baltimore Sun).

Join us before the concert at 7pm for a discussion with the artists and music director Christopher Zimmerman.

Peled plays with so much soul, conviction and total commitment to the music that is beyond rare.
